Hello Windows 7 SP1
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is available to everyone via the Microsoft Download Center. Most people will simply get Windows 7 SP1 via Windows Update when it becomes available to them.
Remember – SP1 will help keep your PCs well supported by delivering ongoing updates, many of which have been made previously available through Windows Update. It does, however, include client-side support for RemoteFX and Dynamic Memory which are two new virtualization features enabled in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
No support for Windows XP SP2
The support for Windows XP Service Pack (SP2) ended July 13, 2010! To ensure that you will receive all important security updates for Windows you need to upgrade to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later versions such as Windows 7.
For more information, see Support is ending for some versions of Windows.
